This class is open to all levels wanting a slower, more relaxed pace of class focusing on simple movements to increase and utilize range of motion of the major joints. This class is suited for those recovering from injury, dealing with high stress, general stiffness, arthritic conditions or having a lower energy day. Postures are presented in gradual steps making it ideal for those wanting plenty of time to focus on breathing and repetition with encouragement to make moment-to-moment adjustments. Stretch and strengthen with this nurturing class for flexibility, balance, and well-being.

Yoga Basics for Beginners & Alignment for Continuing Levels is both  for new beginners as an introduction to the Iyengar method and appropriate for continuing beginners for step-by-step instruction on the fundamentals of body alignment in the poses. It does not matter how out of shape or inflexible one is to begin yoga. The best way to learn yoga is with a qualified teacher, who can give you proper guidance, answer your questions and show how to adapt the poses specifically for your body. This class is an excellent opportunity for continuing level students who wish to refine and review basic alignment cues. All props are provided.

Room is heated for this slow-flow class. Mindful awareness and attention to alignment is given as we slowly flow through various sequences designed to take you through all ranges of motion and provide a safe, effective method for learning Sun Salutations and key poses to strengthen and stretch.  Breath practice and meditation at the end can strengthen the nervous system and  lift up your energy creating a transformative practice to aid you in feeling more alive.  All levels welcome and encouraged.

Specific poses have been shown to assist with illness, conditions, and injuries. This class is for you if you think your health conditions are preventing you from doing Yoga. Whether your issue is back pain, shoulder or knee injuries, neck stiffness, degenerative disease, auto-immune disorder, specific asana and specific sequences of poses  can be helpful. Learn how to modify your Yoga practice while recovering or dealing with an illness or injury whether it be skeletal or systemic. Each class will be tailored to participants by addressing specific areas of concern.
