Iyengar Yoga Therapy allows students who have back, shoulder and neck, knee, to work with an experienced teacher in a small class setting. For many people this work will improve their quality of life and may even allow healing to progress more rapidly. All levels may join one or both classes.
A regular, mindful and balanced Yoga sequence is valuable for long-term care of the body. Yoga has the potential to strengthen our weaknesses and balance our asymmetries if we are willing to practice on a regular basis. By building awareness and being skillful with our alignment, we have the opportunity to release chronic contraction and tension. This class will provide you with a gentle approach to a daily routine for both strengthening and creating suppleness in the back muscles.
Are you feeling a bit hamstrung? This special class will explore the importance of stretching hamstrings as well as surrounding muscles regularly to avoid low back and knee issues. Join me as we practice a well choreographed sequence of Yoga poses to create more length and balance in your legs safely. Open to all levels of Yoga students.
