A regular, mindful and balanced Yoga sequence is valuable for long-term care of the body. Yoga has the potential to strengthen our weaknesses and balance our asymmetries if we are willing to practice on a regular basis. By building awareness and being skillful with our alignment, we have the opportunity to release chronic contraction and tension. Ideally we would visit these poses more often to keep the back loose and pain free before the muscles are in pain or tense. You can also practice this sequence to ease moderate back tightness and discomfort before it becomes chronic pain or an acute injury. This class will provide you with a gentle approach to a daily routine for both strengthening and creating suppleness in the back muscles.
